About
Genine Schwartz Psy.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Hello, I’m so glad you’re here! I am a strong believer in the ability of therapy to help support you in your journey of growth, reflection, and healing. For more than 12 years, I have worked with clients from a relational psychodynamic perspective, incorporating humanist and feminist ideologies, alongside cognitive behavioral techniques to provide services tailored to the personal needs of individuals and dyads. Together, we will explore the origins of patterns in your life that are not serving you and how you can create change, explore your strengths and resilience, manage the demands of everyday life, and continue to progress towards your goals.
My clinical experience ranges from working with adolescents to elder adults and all of the complex and rich life phases in between. My specialties include working with individuals experiencing life-altering transitions (marriage, career change, starting or returning to school, loss, divorce), the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals in non-traditional relational dynamics (non-monogamous or polyamorous dynamics), and individuals in a perinatal period of life.
As a therapist, I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment, approaching our work together with curiosity, creativity, and openness. Together we can co-create a space that enables exploration and growth in a manner that reflects all of who you are.
